What do you get when 184 boats hit the pristine waters of Kentucky's beautiful Lake Cumberland??? You get the 10th Annual Marine Works/Bullet Tournament in the capable hands of John Webb held out of Conley Bottoms Marine in Monticello, KY. By ponying up a $150 entry fee the anglers got not only an entry into the tournament, a free bbq and cajun jambalaya dinner, and more give aways that you can imagine....but also got a 1 in 184 chance at winning a new $25000 Bullet bassboat on a super clean Boatmate tandem trailer. JR Slagle and Winners Marine of Burnside, KY were instrumental in making the tourney a huge success. Valvoline oil was there giving away more free oil, t-shirts, and Eagle1 products that anyone ever thought possible. Ky Eagle Distributing of Lexington donated Monster energy drinks as well as the $500 big fish pot. A free Joe Burns Custom rod, Exide orbital batteries, Save Face products, Mercury propellers and trolling motor, ORS Auto body window tinting, Lowrance XOG GPS systems, Dewalt drills by Roberts Repair(Houma, LA), and a Bosch Driver by Fastenall of Nicholasville topped a list of many other prizes.
The tournament winners Greg Curry and Nathan Walters were presented a check of $2100 for their win under very tough fishing conditions. But, no one went away empty handed or hungry!
Make plans to attend this once a year event in south central KY. You owe it to yourself to do so.
Like to thank all the sponsers!
